What is something you can’t go a day without?

“Listening to music. I listen to music 24/7, all the time – between classes, walking to class, sometimes during class. I just like listening to other people’s playlists and making playlists. If people send me music, I like that a lot.

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?

I just really like the color light pink. It’s just because I like it and it’s my favorite color. I don’t know what energy I give off. Zoe Ramirez could probably tell you what color energy I give off because that’s kind of her thing, but I just like wearing light pink. I have a couple of light pink dresses that make me feel fancy and I just like the color.

What is your favorite Spirits-related memory?

My favorite Spirits memory was probably brunch. It felt like we had worked so hard to get to that point and being scarfed by Trisha was a chaotic but amazing experience. She’s screaming, I’m screaming, so many things were happening. It was also really cool to see everyone from the org together in one place.

What does Texas Spirits mean to you?

Texas Spirits to me is a home on campus. It’s not work to be around Spirits. It’s the reason I’m still at UT. I thought a lot about transferring last year and being in Spirits gave me a reason to feel rooted here in this campus. The people here gave me a reason to love UT again. Spirits for me is a reason to stay at UT and a reason to love UT.

What is something you live your life by?

My personal mantra that I try to live my life by is to love courageously. I feel like a lot of problems are just caused by people not being willing to see other people’s points of views or just open their mind to different people’s ways, but I feel like when you do things through love that helps a lot of those things.
